Nacro: Campaign research
intern - London
Closing date: 16 August 2010, out-of-pocket expenses
paid
Nacro, the national crime reduction charity, is currently
developing a new parliamentary and media campaign which will be launched
when Parliament returns in September. The research intern will provide
support to the campaign by calculating and identifying authoritative
facts and evidence. Initially, for the launch report, Nacro requires
someone to make fresh calculations based on existing research and statistics,
and to check references. They hope that the intern will also be able
to provide further support as the campaign develops, including support
in putting together a survey of our service-users. Nacro requires someone
with a thorough understanding of criminal justice policy, research and
statistics and the capacity to calculate and apply statistics to support
policy goals. An interest in Nacro's work and commitment to its aims
and objectives is desirable. Nacro require someone to be available as
soon as possible, initially for 3-5 days until the end of August, and
then intermittently for a period of up to 3 months. They can be very
flexible about when and how you work, and it would be possible to fit
your work on the campaign around your other commitments. You will be
given a credit on any material that includes your work. For more information,
